BABIES MUSIC CLASS: It's never too early to start musical development class with your little one! This Music Together® class is for babies newborn to eight months. No older siblings allowed, as everything is geared towards the needs of these little learners. Explore how to bond with your baby through music, and learn what to look for and encourage developmentally as they begin their musical journey!
MIXED AGE FAMILY CLASS: This class follows the recommendations of child development researchers—grouping children of a variety of ages because this fosters natural, family-style learning. Younger children enjoy watching and imitating older ones; older children learn by leading younger ones; and adults are happy because the children in the family can go to class together. Each child participates at his or her own level in singing, moving, chanting, listening, watching, or exploring musical instruments. Any caregivers—parents, grandparents, nanny—can bring the children. The whole family is welcome for this important family music experience.
GENERATIONS CLASS: A mixed-age class with the addition of senior participants. Kids and their grownups visit the "Musical Grandfriends" at a local retirement facility and spend time making music as an extended family.
Rhythm Kids®: These classes follow through on the Music Together® vision to help children complete the pathway of early childhood music development from birth through age eight. Children learn to drum, sing, move to new rhythms, work in ensembles, conduct, and improvise. Through dynamic music games and activities, they develop skills like recognizing and playing patterns and soloing, they develop timing, coordination, listening skills and self-expression, and they build self-confidence and social abilities. Rhythm Kids® Level 1 class is for the preschool child (ages 4-5) with a parent or caregiver. Rhythm Kids® Level 2 class is for children in Kindergarten through second grade (ages 5-8). Parents and caregivers are welcome to stay during the class but are not required to.
